The DISTEMIST corpus was manually annotated by clinical experts following the DISTEMIST guidelines. These guidelines contain rules for annotating diseases in Spanish clinical cases; as well as for mapping these annotations to Snomed-CT.
Guidelines were created de novo by clinical experts defined after several cycles of quality control and annotation consistency analysis before annotating the entire dataset.
