MedProcNER Task Info

MedProcNER challenges participants to create systems for three subtasks: (a) clinical procedure detection, (b) entity normalization to SNOMED CT and (c) whole document indexing using SNOMED CT codes. Participants are free to create their systems in any way they want, and we actually encourage the use of creative solutions. All systems must be trained and evaluated using the MedProcNER corpus (see Data tab), a collection of 1000 clinical case reports manually annotated by experts.
