Workshop

The ToxHabits task is part of the BioCreative IX Workshop, which will be held as part of IJCAI 2025 in Montreal, Canada, from August 16th to August 22nd, 2025.

BioCreative (Critical Assessment of Information Extraction in Biology) is a community-wide effort for evaluating text mining and information extraction systems applied to the biological domain. BioCreative has been an invaluable source for advancing state-of-the-art text mining methods since 2004, by providing reference datasets and a collegial environment to develop and evaluate these methods in both shared and interactive models. The ninth edition of the workshop features two other tasks: MedHopQA, a dataset for benchmarking LLM-based reasoning systems with disease-centered question answers, and Sentence segmentation of real clinical notes using MIMIC-II clinical notes. It also will feature paper submissions on relevant topics and poster/tool demonstrations.

IJCAI (International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence) is a non-profit corporation founded in California, in 1969 for scientific and educational purposes, including dissemination of information on Artificial Intelligence at conferences. IJCAI conferences present premier international gatherings of AI researchers and practitioners and they were held biennially in odd-numbered years since 1969. Since 2016 they are held annually, with IJCAI-25 being its 34th edition.
