Instructions
Teams sending predictions to the MultiClinSum task will be invited to contribute a technical systems description paper for the CLEF 2025 Working Notes proceedings. Some of the CLEF proceedings articles can be regarded as highly relevant scientific contributions with considerable number of citations and impact in the field.
Accepted papers resulting from the MultiClinSum subtask will be published as part of the CLEF 2025 Working Notes in CEUR WS. It is not mandatory to attend the CLEF conference to submit proceedings papers, although attendance to the BioASQ workshop is highly recommended.
All papers must be written in English and formatted according to the updated 2025 submission template available here. There is no upper page limit, with regular papers required to have a length of at list 10 pages and short papers between 5-9 pages.
The dataset, task and results require citing the official overview paper of the MultiClinSum task (tentative title):
“Rodríguez-Ortega M, Rodríguez-Lopez E, Lima-López S, Escolano C, Melero M, Pratesi L, Vigil-Gimenez L, Fernandez L, Farré-Maduell E, Krallinger M. Overview of MultiClinSum task at BioASQ 2025: evaluation of clinical case summarization strategies for multiple languages: data, evaluation, resources and results. CLEF Working Notes. 2025“
The time schedule is very tight, so we recommend starting the writing process as soon as possible to meet the submission deadline.
The proceedings of the workshop will be distributed as CEUR Workshop Proceedings.
Paper submission is done via easychair, in the easychair track: “A challenge in large-scale biomedical semantic indexing and question answering (BioASQ)“.
During your submission, please select the appropriate “Submission Topics” representing the BioASQ task(s) relevant to your paper. Also, please double-check that the information inserted in easychair is correct and complete and matches exactly the corresponding information in your manuscript as this information is used for the procedings. This includes the author names, the order of author names, the paper title etc.
More instruction for the CLEF 2025 Labs Working Notes are availavle here and on the BioASQ webpage.
